You Must Remember That Since Early 2006, Much Of The Electrical Work In Domestic Premises Is Now Reportable To Your Local Building Control, So You Must Be Registered With A Self-Certification Body As A Competant Person, Or Before You Carry Out Any Work Yourself, You Must Contact Your Local Building Control And Advise Them Of The Work You Intend To Do, They Will Then Arrange With You To Come And Inspect/Test The Work, And This Will Cost You Around £250.    

Since January 2006, Part P of the Building Regulations came into force, which means that most electrical work in and around the home is now to be reported to the local building control prior to the work commencing, in turn they would give the go ahead for the work and then an inspection would be required which the building control would provide, Which you will have to pay a fee of around £250! Let us do the work for you, and the fee for the inspection is included in the price, and we do the reporting to building control, so you have nothing to worry about. Or if you are thinking or purchasing a property we will perform an electrical inspection on the property, from which you will recieve a comprehensive report on the condition of the property.

Everybody needs to be aware that electricity is dangerous, and must be given the utmost respect. If you do not know what is required get a competant person to do the work, we will be happy to discuss your requirements and you will find our rates among the best. One of the best technological advances in recent years is the introduction of the RCD, This hardware provides a great level of safety against indirect contact. The older style fuse type box are still ok to use, the key being, that good connections, with correctly rated fuses and good earth connection, including bonding are critical elements of each circuit.
